Community Gardening: Nuts and Bolts
All Volunteer Gardens
Green Oasis Community Garden and Gilbert's Sculpture Garden are run entirely by volunteers, including a seven member volunteer board that serves for a two-year term. Meetings are run by consensus according to Robert's Rules of Order. Meeting notes are taken and distributed by email to the membership; the current year's meeting notes appear on this website.
The gardens are chartered under the auspices of the City of New York Department of Parks and Green Thumb program. The gardens are insured by these departments. Members are not responsible for any accidents or injuries sustained by members or guests while in the garden.

Your privacy is important to us. We do not rent or sell member or visitor's addresses, email addresses, or telephone numbers.

Green Oasis Community Garden and Gilbert's Sculpture Garden are 501(c)(3) not for profit organizations. Your deductions are tax deductible.
