Dear Neighbors,
We understand that this beautiful mulberry tree is
rather messy when it drops its ripe fruit over the sidewalk. Garden members
have been actively sweeping and cleaning the sidewalk on weekends; however, as
much as we sweep, the ground is soon covered again with fresh juicy berries.
We understand this is a problem and we are planning by harvest time next year
to create a system that captures the berries before they hit the sidewalk. In
addition, in the fall we plan to prune the biggest limb that overhangs the
sidewalk.
Meanwhile, we appreciate your patience and we welcome you to join garden
meetings on the first and third Sunday of every month at 11am.

Comprendemos que esta bella morera
ensucia mucho cuando deja caer la fruta madura en la acera. Los miembros del
jardín hemos estado barriendo y limpiando la acera activamente cada fin de
semana, pero por más que barremos el suelo se llena enseguida de moras jugosas.
Entendemos que esto es un problema y
planeamos recolectarlas el año que viene con un sistema que las capture antes
de que caigan a la acera. Además, en otoño pensamos podar la rama más grande
que cuelga sobre la acera. Entre tanto agradecemos vuestra paciencia y os
invitamos a participar en las reuniones del jardín el primer y tercer domingo
de cada mes a las 11 am.
